On my instagram I featured my son and I’s top 5 children French songs that he is really in to currently. My son adores music, so it was really hard to pick just 5. In this post, I’m going to feature the same 5 songs in addition to 5 more songs along with lyrics and links to videos for each song. 1. Tapent, Tapent, Petites Mains
Such a fun action song. There’s clapping and gestures for a windmill, a fish and a bird! This was the first song I introduced to my son.

3. La Ronde Des Légumes
A song about vegetables dancing under the moonlight, what more could you ask for? Great action song that taught me some action verbs, too! Also, this song may help your child like vegetables, who knows!

4. Un Eléphant Se Balançait
Another silly, fun song! It’s about elephants bouncing on a spider web. classic! There are a couple versions of this song out there. One version counts to 5 elephants, and the other counts to 10. I think this song is the sole reason my son adores elephants. The first animal sound he made was an elephant.

This song is a current favorite in our house! It’s a short and sweet song about an escargot and a rainy day. The gestures are cute and easily to follow along with the song.

**123petitpas, Mme Amy has a wonderful version of this song. At first the child is pretending to sleep, then when the song goes “ton moulin, ton moulin va trop vite” the child either spins or the parent holds the child and spins them around!
9. Les Sons d’Animaux- Bob Le train
This song is exclusively on YouTube and part of a series of educational videos. It was my son’s favorite song for a couple months, and it helped him learn many animal noises. We sing this song to help him brush his teeth for 2 mins. The other videos are ok, the French audio can be odd for some songs.
10. Zoom, Zoom, Zoom
Another wonderful song we do in 123petitpas class! I did this song in my classroom in English for years, but didn’t know there was a French translation! My son can do the zoom, zoom movements and loves jumping up at the end.
